Peterhouse May Ball 2017

Changing The Name On Your Ticket

If you wish to change the name associated to the ticket you have purchased, please follow these instructions. Please note four very important pieces of information:

  1. Tickets can only be transferred to current members of Cambridge University, unless specifically agreed with the Committee beforehand
  2. We have decided not to charge for name change
  3. It is solely the ticket holder’s responsibility to process any payment which may arise in transferring the ticket(s)
  4. The name change process and the new ticket holder are subject to our Terms and Conditions, which we strongly advise you read. These can be found on our website.

A) You are the primary ticket holder (i.e. you purchased the tickets) with multiple tickets to the Ball and want to change the name of one or more of the guest tickets you bought (i.e. not your own ticket). Please do the following:

  1. Login in to our ticketing site as usual with your details
  2. Go to the Home page
  3. Look to the ‘Purchased Tickets’ list on the right of the screen
  4. Click the edit button next to the ticket you wish to re-name
  5. Simply erase the name you wish to remove, and enter the name of the person you now wish to attend the Ball
  6. Check your email, to receive confirmation of this change

B) You are the primary ticket holder (i.e. you purchased the ticket) with only one ticket to the Ball and you wish to transfer your ticket:

  1. This transfer involves not just changing the name on the ticket, but changing the holder of the ticket’s account
  2. The current ticket holder must collect the following information from the person to whom they are transferring their ticket: their full name; and their Cambridge email address
  3. Next, with the person to whom you are transferring a ticket, agree mutually on a new password for the account
  4. The current ticket holder must then change the account’s password to this agreed password as well as changing the name and email details to those of the new ticket holder
  5. To do this, click ‘edit your account’ in the top right toolbar and edit the boxes accordingly
  6. Once this has been done, the new ticket holder will receive an email to confirm the changes. Make sure this email has been received
  7. The new ticket holder must now login with the account’s updated details: their email address and the mutually agreed password
  8. Once logged in, the new ticket holder must change the account’s password again, to something only they are aware of
  9. To do this, click ‘edit your account’, enter the mutually agreed password in the ‘current password’ box and your new, secure password in the ‘password’ and ‘password confirmation’ boxes
  10. Now, the account is secure and the name has been successfully changed

C) You are the primary ticket holder (i.e. you purchased the tickets) with multiple tickets to the Ball, and you wish to transfer your personal ticket to someone else, but retain the guest ticket(s) you purchased with their original names:
If you trust the person to whom you are transferring your personal ticket (i.e. they are friend), and you trust them sufficiently that you know they will not change the names of your guests, then follow the steps in B). The Committee takes no liability if the names are edited against the will of the original guests after transfer of the account.
If you do not sufficiently trust the person to whom you are transferring your personal ticket (i.e. they are an acquaintance), you might want to consider switching control of the account to one of your guests, following the steps in Situation B. If this is impractical or the person to whom you are transferring the account is unhappy with this, please contact the Committee and we will see if we can help.
